Connect and Celebrate

At DSAG, we provide community-wide parent support through shared knowledge and experiences. Our organization promotes social change and public awareness to improve the quality of life for all individuals with Down syndrome.

About Down Syndrome

Slide Down syndrome occurs in approximately one in every 733 live births.
There are between 350,000 to 400,000 people with Down syndrome in the United States.
80 percent of people with Down syndrome are born to parents under the age of 35.
Children with Down syndrome benefit from the same care, attention, and inclusion in community life that help every student grow.
Down syndrome occurs evenly in male and female babies.

Families Helping Families

In 2021, a group of families reconnected to bring DSAG back and build awareness about the presence of our Down syndrome community and the families within it.

DSAG and the DSAG Community have been an intricate part of our lives for over twenty years and the journey has been an unbelievably rewarding experience to me and my entire family. We have met and became friends with so many outstanding individuals and families that we would have never known without the connections of DSAG. We are so excited to see the group being organized again and so look forward to continuing the journey.
