To celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month, we are giving away $1,500 in October! Don’t miss your chance to let DSAG help with your tuition! To enter, simply submit a short story explaining how your life has been forever changed for the better by a friend or family member with Down syndrome. 

Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and enrolled in a postsecondary school or training program.
  • Applicants must reside in East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, West Feliciana, Ascension, Livingston, Iberville, Pointe Coupee or St. Helena Parish.
  • Applicants can submit only one essay and receive one award.
  • Current officers and board members of DSAG-Baton Rouge, along with their immediate family members are ineligible.
  • Prior 3.21 Scholarship recipients are *not* excluded from eligibility and may apply.
  • We aren’t currently accepting applications for this year’s scholarship quite yet but we will update when we start the application process.
