Eligibility
Applicant must live in East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, West Feliciana, Ascension, Livingston, Iberville, Pointe Coupee, or St. Helena Parish.
Funds must be used for college, grad school, or trade program.
Funds must be used within 12 months of award.
Prior 3.21 Scholarship winners are eligible to apply.
DSAG officers, board members, and their immediate family members are not eligible to apply.
Deadline to apply is 11:59 PM (CST), October 29, 2024.
Evaluation
Submissions will be evaluated based on the applicant’s ability to clearly express positive experiences in their life due to having a family member or friend with Down syndrome.
Special consideration will be given for applicants intending to use funds for programs aimed at enriching the lives of individuals with special needs.

Application Procedure

Submit a short essay (500-word or less) explaining how your life has been positively affected by someone with Down syndrome.

Provide the name of the college, grad school, or trade program you would use the scholarship funds for and your area of focus.
